Today was a momentous day! Jamie Alexander, the MD-RA Inspector came to carry out the final inspection. When all was said and done there were three snags written up. I had thus far not carried out the compass swing so that was snagged. Also I had not installed terminal boots on my essential buss relay terminals and lastly the battery positive terminal needs more clearance between it and the battery hold down strap. With that my brother Bernie and I started reinstalling all the parts removed for inspection. Save the wheel fairings we installed everything and took the aircraft outside, fired up and carried out the compass swing. Remaining at this point then are four terminal boots to install on the essential buss relay, a bushing to install for better clearance on the battery positive terminal and several log book entries. Once these are complete and submitted I will receive my test flight authority.
